Covid-19 vaccine (Update 12 January)

We're delighted to advise that we are about to start delivery Covid-19 vaccinations in co-operation with our local primary care network colleagues.

We expect to start delivering vaccinations from Friday 12 January but for the first week or so we can only do so at our Dover venue which is situated at Dover Health Centre, Maison Dieu Road, Dover. However, Folkestone based patient can receive their vaccinations at that venue and we will be in contact over the coming days to make appointments for this coming weekend.

We expect the Folkestone venue, which will be situated at the Civic Centre, to open shortly and further information will be forthcoming in due course.

Can we ask that you do not contact us about Covid-19 vaccinations. We have all contact details and will be working through the various cohorts of patients in line with JCVI recommnedations and we will get to everyone over time. Thank you for your co-operation.

Covid-19 vaccine (Update 30 December)

With today's excellent news that the Oxford/AstraZeneca Covid vaccine has been approved for use in the UK, our patients will clearly be anxious to learn when they might be able to receive their vaccination.

The current situation remains that we are ready to work with other GP surgeries within our PCN to provide large scale vaccination as soon as sufficient supplies of a vaccine are available. Whilst we still await news as to when that might be clearly we can be reasonably confident it will be early in 2021 and all patients should rest assured that we will be in contact as soon as we are able.

In the meantime everyone here at Guildhall Surgery would like to wish all of our patients all the very best for the New Year.

Order of priority for delivery of Covid vaccinations laid down by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.

Evening Nurse Clinics Available

We now offer an evening clinic every week with selected nurse appointments available on Mondays until 8pm.  This clinic can only be booked in advance and only certain types of appointment will be available, depending on which nurses are scheduled to work.  Please ask at reception for more details.

Online Access Now Available

Our new online access system 'Patient Access' is now available.  If you have used the old Vision Online system in 2019 to book an appointment or request medication then you should have received an email with details on how to login to Patient Access.  If you have not received an email or have not used the old system recently please come to reception with photo ID to register for Patient Access and receive the details you need to set up your account.  We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this change.

Please note that Patient Access does not allow you to use the same email as another patient so logging in with shared email addresses will not work.  We recommend you use an individual email address instead but if this is not possible please contact the surgery to ask about getting proxy access.

If you would like to set up online access for a child and you are the parent/guardian please ask for a Proxy Access form.  You will need to show ID and proof that you are the child's parent/guardian.  Proxy Access is only available for 0-10 year olds.  We do not offer online access for 11-15 year olds and patients aged 16 and over will need to register as an adult.
