Flu Vaccinations - we're doing another 'walk up' session!
After a very successful first session the practice will be holding a second 'walk up' flu vaccination session between 0930 and 1200 hours on Saturday 17 October.
If you are aged over 65 or have one of the chronic illnesses below you are entitled to a flu vaccination from the surgery.
- Chronic Kidney Disease
- Chronic Heart Disease
- Chronic Liver Disease
- Weakened Immune System
If you are in any doubt over your eligiability please call the surgery. Any patients that turn up at this session but are not eligable will not be given the vaccination.
To ensure that these vaccinations can be delivered to our patients in a Covid safe manner we will not be able to allow patients into the surgery itself but will instead be setting up appropriate facilities outside the surgery. We will have a full team of Doctors and Nurses on site and they will do all they can to ensure any queues are as short as possible.
Important: Please note that, if you are aged between 50 and 64 and not in a clinical at risk group, the earliest you will be offered a flu vaccination is November, providing there is sufficient vaccine. No appointments will be offered for people in this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.

If you feel you are unable to wear a mask for medical reasons please go to the government website on face coverings to print an exemption care. We will not be writing any letters about face mask exemptions as a GP letter is not needed. This is in line with government and BMA guidance.

GUILDHALL SURGERY IS OPERATING A PHONE-FIRST POLICY TO PROTECT PATIENTS AND STAFF. THIS MEANS WE CANNOT ACCEPT WALK-IN ENQUIRIES/APPOINTMENTS. PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THE SURGERY UNLESS YOU HAVE BEEN ASKED TO ATTEND AT A SPECIFIC TIME FOR AN EMERGENCY APPOINTMENT.
FIT NOTES, PRESCRIPTIONS AND BLOOD TEST FORMS WILL NOT BE HANDED TO PATENTS AT THE SURGERY DOOR BUT WILL BE POSTED OUT TO LIMIT ANY POSSIBLE TRANSFER OF THE COVID-19.

If have a new continuous cough, a high temperature of 38.7 or above or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell, or if you think you might have been exposed to the Coronavirus due to contact with a confirmed case please go to the 111 Coronavirus Page or ring 111 if you are unable to go online.

If you have an appointment booked with the surgery and develop a new continuous cough or high temperature of 38.7 or above or a loss or change to your sense of taste or smell or if someone in your household develops these symptoms please CANCEL YOUR APPOINTMENT AND STAY AT HOME. Evening Nurse Clinics Available
We now offer an evening clinic every week with selected nurse appointments available on Mondays until 8pm. This clinic can only be booked in advance and only certain types of appointment will be available, depending on which nurses are scheduled to work. Please ask at reception for more details.
Online Access Now Available
Our new online access system 'Patient Access' is now available. If you have used the old Vision Online system in 2019 to book an appointment or request medication then you should have received an email with details on how to login to Patient Access. If you have not received an email or have not used the old system recently please come to reception with photo ID to register for Patient Access and receive the details you need to set up your account. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by this change.
Please note that Patient Access does not allow you to use the same email as another patient so logging in with shared email addresses will not work. We recommend you use an individual email address instead but if this is not possible please contact the surgery to ask about getting proxy access.
If you would like to set up online access for a child and you are the parent/guardian please ask for a Proxy Access form. You will need to show ID and proof that you are the child's parent/guardian. Proxy Access is only available for 0-10 year olds. We do not offer online access for 11-15 year olds and patients aged 16 and over will need to register as an adult.
