We have an experienced nursing team, who as a whole can offer a range of services to surgery patients. We have nurse led specialist clinics in Asthma; COPD; CHD; Stop Smoking and Diabetes.
Between them, they are able to perform travel immunisations; cervical smears; dressings; blood tests; injections; vaccinations, immunisations; ear syringing; stitch removal; give risk reduction/dietary and obesity advice; hold well woman/man clinics; perform ECGs and NHS health checks. Pauline and Lesley can also advise you if you have a minor illness.
A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.

District Nursing Team and Midwifery Team
The surgery has both a team of district nurses as well as a team of midwives attached to it. The teams are not based here but can be contacted through the surgery. Receptionists do give out the mobile numbers of the midwives so that you can contact them direct.
