Online Services

Our usual online services include repeat prescription requests, booking routine appointments and viewing your medical records. However, during the Coronavirus pandemic we will not be offering online appointments as all appointments are being triaged first with a telephone call from a clinician.

If you have NOT already signed up for online access you can sign up from home via Patient Access service, the MyGP app or the NHS app. (Please note that the NHS app can only be used for patients aged 13 and over).  

If you are a carer for someone else and have written consent to access their medical records or act on their behalf in relation to their health then we may be able to set you up with an account to allow you to request repeat prescriptions on their behalf.  If you would like to apply for this please ring the surgery on 01303 851411 and ask about 'proxy access to online services'.

 

Communication through Email and Text Message



There are now so many ways to communicate with your GP, if you would like to receive emails or text messages from us please ring the surgery on 01303 851411 and ask about ‘email and text communication’.


Personal ID

 

We usually offer the option to come to the surgery to fill out a form for online access and show ID to reception to complete your registration.  At the moment we are unable to offer this service due to the Coronavirus pandemic.  We are awaiting advice on alternative options to allow online access without compromising patient confidentiality and will update this section of the website as soon as we have further information.  The NHS app (see above) can be used from home and allows you to confirm your ID without having to come to the surgery so we recommend using this if possible.

Response to COVID-19:"PHONE FIRST" Policy

We have adopted this policy to protect our staff and patients.  We are not seeing any patients without a pre-arranged appointment and we ask that patients DO NOT come to the surgery without such an appointment. 

Our phone lines are open as usual and if you have a medical problem you will be able to speak to a Doctor or Nurse.  If, after speaking with a Doctor or Nurse, you need to be seen the Doctor or Nurse will arrange a time for you to come in to the surgery.  Please see our FAQs for more information about appointments, prescriptions and surgery services during the Coronavirus pandemic.

Please note that in line with Government and BMA guidance we are not providing letters exempting patients from wearing masks. If you would like something to show that you cannot wear a mask for medical reasons you can print a card from the government website.
