GUILDHALL SURGERY IS OPERATING A 'PHONE FIRST ONLY' POLICY DUE TO THE CORONAVIRUS PANDEMIC
We have adopted this policy to protect our staff and patients. Patients MUST NOT come to the surgery unless they have a pre-arranged appointment. We cannot deal with any walk-in queries and we ask that you stay home, stay safe and phone first.
Our phone lines are open as usual and if you have a medical problem you will be able to speak to a doctor or nurse. If you need to be seen the doctor or nurse will arrange a time for you to come in to the surgery. Please note that we are not providing letters exempting patients from wearing masks. This is in line with government and BMA guidance. If you would like something to show that you cannot wear a mask for medical reasons you can print a card from the government website.

The practice currently operates from a converted four storey Victorian town house, which is linked to a two storey later built building with little to no parking. The practice acknowledges that the current site is not compliant with requisite standards and is actively seeking solutions to address this situation.
Unfortunately South Kent Coast CCG have refused our final business plan for a new, purpose built Practice on the grounds of the rent costs & because they believe it does not meet with their vision for hub working, which is part of NHS England's 5 Year Forward View.
We continue to liaise with the CCG & with Shepway Council with a view to finding a suitable site that will allow for a Super Hub to built in a central Folkestone location, but to date there is no site big enough to incorporate the CCG's vision. Consequently, we are working with other local practices on a project to build an alternative, smaller, hub. This is in the very early stages; the stage one business case has just been presented to the CCG for their consideration (Oct 2018).
The Practice would encourage patients to write to either the CCG directly, or to the Practice, to voice their concerns regarding any issues they may have in relation to the current premises & the limitations we are facing in regards to the services we currently provide & any additional services curtailed because of these limitations.

You are able to book an appointment online and order your authorised repeat medication online. Please call into the surgery and complete a registration form.
Guildhall Surgery has a legal duty to explain how we use any personal information we collect about you, as a registered patient, at the practice. Staff at this practice maintain records about your health and the treatment you receive in electronic and paper format.
