eConsult
Important Notice - Our total eConsult will close at 1200 hours on Wednesday 19 March due to staff training that afternoon. Full facilities will be available again from 0700 hours on Thursday 20 March.
Patients needing support will still have access to health services via their pharmacies or the walk-in centre at the Royal Victoria Hospital. And of course there is always the option of calling 111.
IMPORTANT: Before you complete an eConsult
Your local pharmacy team are qualified healthcare professionals with the knowledge and skills to help with many health concerns. Additionally, community pharmacies are now the first level of treatment for a range of seven common health conditions via the Pharmacy First service, which covers:
- Earache (1-17 years)
- Impetigo (1 year and over)
- Infected insect bite (1 year and over)
- Shingles (18 years and over)
- Sinusitis (12 years and over)
- Sore throat (5 years and over)
- Uncomplicated urinary tract infections in women (16-64 years)
If you complete an eConsult for these health conditions we are most likely to refer you back to the Pharmacy First service so please use that service first. Your chosen pharmacy will provide us with a report of the treatment they have provided and if your symptoms suggest it’s something more serious, they’ll ensure you get the care you need.
Please note, normal prescription charges will apply for prescription only medicines.
